French-German Philanthropy Days

The series of events, which is divided into three online modules and two classroom sessions with different focal points, is organized jointly with the Fondation de France, Strasbourg, and with the professional support of the Deutsch-Französisches Institut, Ludwigsburg. The initiative is supported by the Deutsch-Französisches Jugendwerk (DFJW) within the framework of its Deutsch-Französischen Bürgerfonds (Franco-German Citizens' Fund).

Philanthropy as a pillar of our modern society follows different paths in France and Germany. Do these different paths and experiences provide an opportunity to look back on successes in development for the common good? Are these successes transferable to the respective neighboring country? Are there synergies and potentials of cooperation?

On 16 September, German and French experts met on the premises of the foundation Stiftung Demokratie Saarland. The focus was on intercultural exchange about their own experiences, practical knowledge as well as ideas and concepts for shaping charitable action and local commitment of community foundations in their own country. The event was organised in cooperation with the foundation Stiftung Demokratie Saarland.
