Young European Federalists

The Young European Federalists Germany (Junge Europäische Föderalisten Deutschland e.V. - JEF) are a politically pluralist youth organization (i.e. independent of political parties), which has been supporting a democratic, united Europe since 1949. JEF Deutschland has about 3,000 members and is part of the European Young European Federalists’ movement with approximately 30,000 supporters. In the last few years JEF demonstrated, for example, for open borders and democracy in Hungary, demanded to fight the crisis through Eurobonds on a European level and claimed a EU unemployment insurance.

The ASKO EUROPA-STIFTUNG and the network "Partners for Europe" entered into a strategic partnership with the Young European Federalists in Germany (Jungen Europäischen Föderalisten Deutschland e.V. (JEF).

The objective of the partnership is to convince young people of the European idea, to strengthen their commitment and to give them greater weight in the political process. For this purpose, the respective competencies of the partners will be complemented and new offers including seminars, youth meetings and conferences will be created. This enables the Young European Federalists to intensify their political activities.

In cooperation with the ASKO EUROPA-STIFTUNG and the European Academy of Otzenhausen, the JEF will develop seminars and run them in Otzenhausen.
